Adam Thaler, National Sports Car Review Examiner, at The Examiner, takes a closer look at the Boss Track Attack program at Miller Motorsports Park.
Thaler sums up the rationale for Boss Track Attack with this observation,
Ford has realized that there is certain sense of responsibility when selling a sports car as powerful as the Boss 302. The five liter V8 engine in the Boss 302 is said to produce 444 horsepower and 380 pound feet of torque. Impressive numbers, and yet potentially underrated. By putting a new driver behind the wheel of a car this powerful there is a good chance that they could easily get in way over their head as soon as the step on the gas. With the Boss Track Attack these new drivers will learn exactly what their car is capable of under the expert tutelage of some of the best driving instructors available. Additionally, the participants do not have to worry about thrashing their brand new Mustang around the track because Miller Motorsport Park has a fleet of track ready Boss 302s available for student use.

I found the program to be exceptionally professional and customer oriented. We were treated like valued members of the Boss and Ford families in every way throughout the program. The special touches were especially appreciated; such as having the driver’s name on the windshield. Although I have over five years of track experience with other Ford products, I learned more in one day than I usually do in a year of other track experience. The significant difference of this program is that the participants receive training from professional racing drivers rather than a typical track day instructor. Buying a Boss 302 and not attending the Boss Track Attack is like buying a new power tool and not reading the instructions. You just get so much more out of owning the car.
Thank you for a great Track Attack experience! It was all I expected and more. This was the first time on a road course for me and I found the pace of the exercises and track sessions perfect. By the end of the day I was very comfortable driving the car at speed. If only the day could have lasted longer! Should have opted for the second day. Please extend my thanks to all the high quality, first class instructors.
