Examiner Review: Ford Racing Boss Track Attack Program
Adam Thaler, National Sports Car Review Examiner, at The Examiner, takes a closer look at the Boss Track Attack program at Miller Motorsports Park.
Thaler sums up the rationale for Boss Track Attack with this observation, Ford has realized that there is certain sense of responsibility when selling a sports car as powerful as the Boss 302. The five liter V8 engine in the Boss 302 is said to produce 444 horsepower and 380 pound feet of torque. Impressive numbers, and yet potentially underrated. By putting a new driver behind the wheel of a car this powerful there is a good chance that they could easily get in way over their head as soon as the step on the gas. With the Boss Track Attack these new drivers will learn exactly what their car is capable of under the expert tutelage of some of the best driving instructors available. Additionally, the participants do not have to worry about thrashing their brand new Mustang around the track because Miller Motorsport Park has a fleet of track ready Boss 302s available for student use.
